Domador de aves — Tamer of Birds — sets a single dark figure, half bird, half handler, against a field of golden grass built stroke by stroke, under a sky of burnt orange. Painted in 2024, it is among the most open compositions in the sale: where Ídasse usually crowds the canvas, here he clears it, and the lone silhouette gains the charged stillness of an apparition. The grass field, worked like script, does the quiet labour of the painting.
